Privacy Policy — kettlebellbooks.com
Effective October 8, 2026 · Version 1
1. Who we are
kettlebellbooks.com (including www.kettlebellbooks.com, the "Site") is run by IKU LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company, 15442 Ventura Blvd, STE 201-1081, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403, USA ("we", "us"). IKU LLC is the company behind IKU, Cavemantraining and KETTLEBELL MONSTER. For the purposes of the EU and UK GDPR, IKU LLC is the controller of the personal data described here.
The Site lists the kettlebell books written by Taco Fleur. It has no accounts, no sign-up, no forms, no comments, no newsletter and no payments. That keeps this policy short.
2. What we collect, and why
a) Data every visit sends. When your browser requests a page, our hosting provider Cloudflare receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type (user agent), the page requested, the time, and the referring page. Cloudflare uses it to deliver the Site and protect it against abuse and attacks. Book images are delivered by Cloudflare Images in the same way. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
b) Analytics and ad measurement, only if you say yes. If you click accept in our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 and the Google tag. They tell us which pages are read and which store buttons are clicked, so we can measure whether our Google Ads bring readers who go on to a store. Google receives data such as your IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, clicks and an online identifier stored in a cookie. Lawful basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); ePrivacy rules on cookies). We do not use this data to build remarketing audiences or to personalise ads to you.
c) What we do not collect. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, payment details or any health information. We do not write any visitor data to our own database; the Site only reads book information from it.
3. Cookies and your choice
- Before you choose: no analytics or advertising cookies are set. Google Consent Mode v2 runs with all storage denied by default.
- The only cookie we set ourselves remembers your consent choice, so we do not ask you on every page. It lasts 6 months.
- If you accept: Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies may be set.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a refusal and do not load Google Analytics or the Google tag.
- Change your mind at any time: use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer to reopen the banner. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it does not undo collection that already happened.
4. Links to stores
The buy buttons take you to other websites. Once you leave the Site, that website's own privacy policy applies, not this one.
- KETTLEBELL MONSTER shop (kettlebell.monster). Our links add tracking parameters (for example
utm_source=kettlebellbooks) so the shop can see the visit came from this Site. Anything you do there, including buying, is governed by the KETTLEBELL MONSTER Privacy Policy. - Amazon. Most of our Amazon links carry our Amazon Associates tag (see the Terms). Once you are on Amazon, Amazon may set its own cookies and record that you arrived through our link, so a qualifying purchase can be credited to us. Amazon does not tell us who you are.
- Apple Books and Google Play handle your visit under their own privacy policies.
Reader reviews shown on the Site come from KETTLEBELL MONSTER, where they are already public. Amazon reviews are linked, never copied.
5. Who receives data
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, security and image delivery (our service provider/processor).
- Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd — Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement, only after you consent.
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if the law requires it or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and Cloudflare and Google process data in the US and elsewhere. Where personal data from the EU/EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred to the US, it relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) where the recipient is certified, or on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. How long we keep it
- Cloudflare request data is kept by Cloudflare under its own retention practices for security and operations.
- Google Analytics event data is kept for 14 months, then deleted by Google.
- The consent-choice cookie expires after 6 months, or sooner if you clear your cookies.
8. Your rights
EU/EEA and UK. You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; restrict or object to processing (including processing based on legitimate interest); data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. You may complain to your local data protection authority (in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority; in the UK, the ICO). Because the Site holds no name or email address, we may only be able to act on data tied to an identifier you can give us.
California (CCPA/CPRA). In the last 12 months the categories of personal information involved are identifiers (IP address, online identifiers) and internet activity (pages viewed, clicks), used for running and securing the Site and, with consent, for analytics and ad measurement. We do not sell personal information. Using the Google tag to measure Google Ads may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law, so we treat it that way: it only happens after you accept, and you can opt out at any time by declining in the banner, reopening it from the footer, or turning on Global Privacy Control, which we honour as an opt-out. You have the right to know, delete and correct, and to opt out of sale/sharing, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights. We do not collect sensitive personal information.
To use any right, email privacy@kettlebell.university. We reply within 30 days (45 days for California requests where the law allows).
9. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If we add any new tracking, we will update this policy before it starts.
