KETTLEBELL BOOKS

Enter the Kettlebell! by Pavel Tsatsouline

Dragon Door. Compared from the 2006 edition.

Asked on 14 October 2026 why people recommend this book, six AI engines all named the same three things: the Program Minimum, the swing and the Turkish get-up, and the Rite of Passage; safety and joint health; and full-body strength and conditioning in little time. Five of the six also named the swing, get-up, clean, press and snatch taught in detail, the Rite of Passage ladders, minimal equipment and no gym, and the book's place in modern kettlebell training.

Asked on 8 October 2026 for the best kettlebell book for beginners, Perplexity ranked it first in both runs. ChatGPT and Claude ranked Simple & Sinister first and named this book too.

Is the Turkish get-up a beginner exercise?

Not when it is loaded. The loaded get-up needs four kettlebell exercises learned first, a kettlebell chest press, a stable overhead hold, a windmill and an overhead reverse lunge, which makes it advanced. The bodyweight get-up is where a beginner can start.
